Privacy Policy

Spy the Difference ("the app") is a spot-the-difference game for children aged 4–10, published by Future Bloom Studio ("we", "us"). We designed it to be safe and private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with information. It applies to the iOS and Android versions of the app (bundle / application id com.futurebloomstudio.spotthedifference).
The app does not collect, store off your device, or share any personal information. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. Everything the app needs to run stays on your device.
We have no servers, no database, and no way to identify or contact a child who uses the app.
Information we collect
None that leaves your device. The app saves your game progress, settings, and which extra worlds you have unlocked locally on your device only, so the game remembers them between sessions. This information is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.
We do not collect names, email addresses, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, usage analytics, or any other personal data.
If your device's operating system is set to back up apps (for example iCloud Backup or Google's Backup service), a copy of the app's local data may be included in that backup. That backup belongs to you and is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policy, not ours.
What the app does not collect
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses or dates of birth
- Photos, camera access, microphone access or voice recordings
- Location of any kind
- Contacts, calendar or files
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA, Android Advertising ID), device identifiers or persistent IDs
- Cookies, IP-address-based profiles or web tracking of any kind
- Behavioural data for advertising or profiling
The app contains no advertising, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no social media integration and no third-party marketing software of any kind.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for children and families. Because we collect no personal information at all, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children (or anyone), and there is nothing for us to disclose, sell, share or hand over. The app contains no ads, no chat or messaging, no user-generated content and no social features.
Purchases
The app is free to play — the Farm world and the whole of Picture Hunt cost nothing. It also offers optional in-app purchases that unlock extra worlds (Ocean and Space, plus a bundle covering every paid world).
- All purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — their payment sheet, not ours. We never see or store payment card details, billing addresses or account information.
- Purchases sit behind a parental gate (a simple maths question) so a child cannot buy something without an adult.
- All the app keeps is a note on the device saying which worlds are unlocked. That note is not linked to any person.

Third-party services
The app uses the platform's in-app purchase service (above) for purchases and restores. It uses no other third-party services, SDKs, or servers of ours — we do not operate any server that the app talks to. A network connection is needed only to make or restore a purchase; every level plays offline.
Your rights and choices
Because we hold no personal data about you or your child, there is no account to close and no data for us to look up, correct, export or erase on request. Everything the app has saved lives on your device, and you are in full control of it:
- To delete everything: uninstall the app. All progress and settings are removed from the device with it. On Android you can also use Settings → Apps → Spy the Difference → Storage → Clear storage.
- To manage or refund a purchase: use your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
If you are in the EU/UK: as we do not process personal data, we do not act as a data controller for any personal data of yours arising from your use of the app.
Data security
The app's data is stored in the app's private storage area, protected by the operating system's own app sandbox, and it stays on your device. Since nothing is transmitted or held by us, there is no server for us to secure and no store of children's information that could be breached.
Store privacy declarations
For transparency, our declarations match this policy:
- Apple App Privacy: Data Not Collected.
- Google Play Data safety: No data collected; no data shared.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this same URL. If a future version of the app were ever to collect personal information — which is not planned — we would obtain verifiable parental consent first, as the law requires.
